THE SITUATION IN THE CHURCH

Many in the Church scoff at peace movements, and they scoff at the Peace Churches and brand those who uphold the Words and actions of Christ "unpatriotic cultists".. Isn't is ironic that many Christians preach that Jesus is the Prince of Peace but by and large they support war? They speak of believing in Spiritual Warfare, but limit that to rebuking the devil in personal matters. Their real trust is in military might, and their hope for peace is that worldly enemies be defeated and kept at bay. Many want wars to end but say we must continue fighting until we win lest all the efforts of our soldiers who fought and died is in vain. They say war is horrible, but they pray for the success and safety of our troops.

Now we should pray for people. We should pray for and bless everyone. Much of the Church on America believes that God is on our side. They say "God Bless America", but Jesus would want us to have a heart that would also pray "God bless Al Queda and Iran" (Matthew 5:44). But how many times have you heard that preached from the pulpit?.

Jesus warned about how we received the seed that is sown in our hearts

Jesus explained the Kingdom or Heaven to his disciples. His words were seeds that if received in the soil of good hearts would bring forth the fruit that he taught about in the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus was sowing seeds of the kingdom into the hearts of his hearers. "Those who had ears to hear." Jesus warned of the importance of how the seeds of his Words would be received. Matthew Chapter 13

The seed that was sown among thorns, did not bear good fruit because the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choked the seed and it did not produce the fruit the Lord looked for.. This is the condition of many of those who claim to be Born Again Christians and say that they are Children of God. They fear for their lives and don't want to be unpopular. Moreover, the cares of this world and fear of losing their high standard of "Living" is choking the seed. Instead of the life of Christ being manifested in them, war is manifested. They say "In God We Trust", but the truth is that much of the church does not want our military to be disbanded, because, like the rest of the world they rely and trust in military might for their survival. Survival of their property, their possessions, the standard of living and their life. They fear disarmament. Because they fear that if America lays down their arms first, we will be overrun by our enemies. And this is what would happen unless the United Nations succeeds and the one world government succeeds, which the church also fears.

The church is really in a quandry. By leaning on the arm of the flesh, they are turning away from true discipleship and are missing out on true peace. Many need to question what spirit they have.

Where are the peacemakers that should be in the Churches?

Jesus said that the Children of God would be peacemakers. (Matthew 5:9) These receive the seed in good ground. But if people do not want to be peacemakers, how can they think they are Children of God. They sing "I have decided to follow Jesus," but how many really want to follow Jesus?

Why aren't "Born Again" Christians different?

.People outside the Church scoff and wonder why supposedly "Born Again Christians" are no different from anyone else. Because sadly, many Christians support war even though teach that Jesus brings love and peace. Most American Christians insist that abortion is pro-life but they seem to believe that killing our enemies is our God given responsibility.

Why do Christians want to Kill their Enemies instead of Loving them?

Prominent TV preachers and other "Christian" hawks that claim to be full of the Holy Spirit, are calling for a preemptive strike against Iran's nuclear facilities to prevent them from making nuclear weapons.

There are indeed better options. Jesus said "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you." (Matt. 5:44) So why do Christians want to kill their enemies instead of loving them?

Lack of love is the real issue. If we don't have Agape love, we are not in Christ. (1 John Chapter 3).

The people in the Church who will not forgive their enemies and who reject the teaching of Jesus on Love of Enemies will not be forgiven by God. Jesus warned:

"WHY CALL YE ME LORD LORD AND DO NOT THE THINGS WHICH I SAY?" (Luke 6:46)

And at the close of the Lord's Prayer, Jesus said:

"For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." (Matthew 6:14,15)
